Made from oak from Antrim. Measuring almost 10 inches diameter with a shallow bowl 6 inches across.
The hand burnt design is of the Kiaby openwork brooch, an 11th Century copper alloy brooch found near to Kiaby, Sweden. Several openwork brooches exist, al being slightly different, featuring intertwining animals in an art style known as Urnes.
